Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. Just six answers tell us what to quote: gender, birth date, overall health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the term length. That's enough for carriers to return their rates. If you choose to apply, we collect your name, address, and the health details they need for underwriting.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are what carriers quote for the health class you selected. After you apply, the carrier may confirm, improve, or change that class during underwriting, which could change your premium. Nothing here is a guarantee of any specific price, rate, or coverage.

What happens when I click Apply?

You choose a quote and move into the carriers' secure application system, which opens with the answers you've already given filled in. You can pause and come back anytime. When you're ready, you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, amount, and what you tell us. Many carriers now offer fast paths that skip the exam for applicants who qualify. Each quote shows whether an exam is required, may be required, or isn't required.

Is a longer term better?

It's about which years you need protection for. A term should cover the period when your death would hurt your family most: a mortgage, children still at home, a business loan. Longer terms cost more monthly but lock your rate in longer. The quote tool lets you test 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years to see what fits.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool doesn't ask for your email or phone, we don't buy or sell visitor data, and we don't use tracking cookies. See the privacy page for what we do collect and who collects it.
